Weekend in the Dales

Hello, friends, hello!

Phew, is it Tuesday already?  I’m still in a happy, yarn-fume induced haze from the amazingness that was Yarndale.

In fact, it was just about the perfect weekend.

It's been three years since I published a knitting pattern (hm I wonder why! 🤔) but I'm super excited to have a few in the works to be released later this summer! But first, I'm looking for a few testers for each pattern!
#MeMadeMay Day 14: #PantsNo1 by @sonyaphilip + Turia sweater by @berrocoyarn (11 years old and still going strong!) + Ogden Cami + handknit socks that’s not visible. All me made for the second time this month, although real talk I had to go home and change trousers after eating lunch … I think these pants are officially too small!
#MeMadeMay Day 11: Shirt No. 1 by @sonyaphilip and White Russian sweater by @theacolman with a several-years-old sale skirt from @SeasaltCornwall and @rapanuiclothing leggings. None of these things are specifically maternity, but I feel really comfy in them ... perfect for a cool, breezy and cloudy day in the Northwest! This sort of outfit is exactly why I wanted to give Me Made May a go this year ... I wouldn't have thought to put these together if I wasn't trying to wear handmade everyday this month, and I really like the outfit ... I imagine I'll enjoy it just as much come autumn when my belly is gone!
#makesocksmendsocks2022 April: I’d hoped to have these done before April was out, but better late than never, these are off the needles and ready for the blocking bath! Socks are my own design knit in @retrosariarosapomar Mondim sock yarn. Just need to gather my notes into a coherent pattern, then these and the footie socks I shared a bit ago will be ready for testing … if you’re interested, the call will (fingers crossed) go up here in the next few days!
#memademay2022 day 7: wearing a fresh #HemlockTee , a free pattern for newsletter subscribers. I made this up in cotton jersey I got last summer from @fabrixlancaster and am totally here for the big 1970s circus tent energy 🎪 I made the longest length, which is tunic length on me (I’m 5’3) and added side slits to make it extra bump friendly — I might crop this quite a bit post pregnancy, we’ll see. Worn on our wander around a nearby nature reserve with my #allwellcardigancoat and some #birkensocks. The shortie socks were a prototype I knit last summer for a design I’m putting the finishing touches on, and I wear them alllll the time in the spring and summer. Probably about time to knit another pair!
Rainy Wednesday morning 🦖🧶🌧🌈
