Featured FO: Rose Lane Rocquaine!

Hi friends!

How’s your weekend going?

It’s been quiet around these parts — errands, laundromat (blergh!), cooking, and a little bit of knitting.

But I’m not here to tell you about what I’ve been working on at the moment — I’m here to share a finished sweater: my Rocquaine Pullover!

It’s only Tuesday and our room is already a bit of a disaster. There’s clean laundry to put away, dirty laundry to wash, it’s in desperate need of a vacuum and dust (if you look closely you can see the dust motes floating on the breeze) and I definitely don’t want to talk about what’s happening inside the wardrobe. Buttttt today I moved our special blanket from its usual home on the couch in the living room and laid it out at the foot of the bed. And now I do a little happy dance every time I look in 🤎🖤🤍
Wednesday walk 💕
The many stages of trying to take a photo of a finished object, in order of appearance: awkward dances, confused faces, okay that will do.
I’ve got quite a few knitting projects on the needles, along with so many ideas and plans, that sometimes when I do have a quiet moment to work on them, I just can’t actually settle on where to start. That was the case during nap time today and rather than sit paralyzed by indecision, I grabbed the bag that holds my beautiful @bordertart boro box a lovely gift from my friend @ndsharp . I started stitching on it last spring and have gotten it out again to take part in the #bordertartstitchalong . I love opening up the little box to pick the next bit of fabric ... like rummaging through a treasure box. My hand stitching skills are pretty non-existent but hopefully by the end, I’ll fee a little bit more proficient !
Today is the launch of @jenacknitwear and @veuftricot Confident Knitting ! To celebrate, I grabbed some of my projects from their previous two year-long books. This little pile doesn’t do justice to the ah-mazing amount of learning that’s happened for me with these books! It’s no exaggeration to say that I rarely cast on a project where I don’t use a tip, trick or technique from A-C Knitwear. And it’s a real privilege to get to help out a bit behind the scenes! I can’t wait for the first pattern release on 1st March and the accompanying knitalong — they’re always really good fun and I’ve made some amazing friends through them 💕
