Hi friends and happy Tuesday! Phew, I can’t believe it’s been two weeks since I last wrote! And where did January go? It was gone in a blink!

Unraveled Wednesday, November 8: What Next?
Hi readers, and happy Wednesday! How are your weeks going so far? Not much has changed on my needles since my last Unraveled post — I’m still knitting away on my Merry Melodia, as I like to think of it, and my Arctic Cardigan is getting so close to being done. I’m a few rows shy of the sleeve cuffs being done, then it’s just pockets to be knit and finishing details. I can’t wait!
In fact, I’m so close to being done that I’m antsy to pick my next big sweater project. I’m having a bit of trouble deciding, so I thought I’d ask for your help!

Good Intentions Club
Happy first day of October! I don’t know about you, but the temperatures are dropping and I want to cast on for everything (even more than usual). Between the excitement of Yarndale and the new yarns and patterns that are being released daily, it’s easy to lose one’s head a bit. Continue reading “Good Intentions Club”
Stock Taking
If you follow me over on Instagram, you might have seen that I finished Starting Point yesterday (queue happy dance) !
And because I’m in the somewhat unusual position of having a limited amount of yarn with me, I thought this might be a nice moment to take stock and show you what pretties I’ll be keeping myself busy with until my stash and I are reunited … which, given the speed with which our stuff will cross the ocean, won’t be until sometime in September.

Home and away
Happy Sunday friends!
April felt like a month of endless (if very fun!!!) travel — so it’s been nice to be back in Philadelphia, even if I have been a little sad to miss my annual visit to Maryland Sheep and Wool.
Once Upon a Sock: April Edition
Wow, it’s that time again … first Thursday of the month, the time that a little group of us — including Paula at Spin a Yarn, Stefanie at Wooly Cakes and Wooden Spoons, and Kat at Felinity Knits — blog about our sock knitting!
As I’ve mentioned a few times recently, my Viola socks are languishing a bit. I’ve been trying to figure out why that is. I couldn’t wait to cast them on, I love the pattern, I love the yarn … but I’ve just completely stalled out on the gusset! I think part of it I’ve been distracted by other things, like nearly finishing my Arrosa shawl and starting Southwell.
But I also think part of me needs to change things up. I’ve knit a fair few pair of plain jane socks (my Droving Socks excepted!) over the past six months, and I think maybe it’s time for a little change of pace.
So instead of showing you yet another picture of my Viola socks in the same place (basically they’ve barely grown since this post), wanna help me with planning my next pair?
Yarnalong: Spring planning
Hi friends, and happy Wednesday!
Not much has changed on my needles (still working on my socks — more on that tomorrow) or my nightstand (still reading and enjoying The Yorkshire Shepherdess — but it’s almost done, so I need to decide what’s next!). But today is the first day of March, and boy does spring feel like it’s on its way, so I thought today we could chat a bit about planning spring projects!
